PE-pipe service and pressure rating are determined by compound grade, dimension series, SDR, temperature, design life and the applicable water or gas product standard. PE100 or PE80 identifies the material grade; it does not by itself establish approval for potable-water or gas service.

Packing and delivery
- Protect against cuts, flattening, excessive bending, heat sources and prolonged unprotected UV exposure; keep ends clean and protected.
