A reducer connects different pipe sizes. Concentric and eccentric forms affect line centre, drainage and vapour-pocket behaviour, so the orientation must follow the process layout; both end sizes and wall thicknesses must be confirmed.

Inspection and documentation

  • Check appearance, dimensions, marking, quantity and documents against the mutually confirmed purchase specification.
  • Chemical, mechanical, pressure/leak, NDT, PMI or third-party inspection is performed only when required by the applicable standard or order; none should be assumed by default.

Packing and delivery

  • Agree moisture, corrosion, impact and end protection for the product geometry, mass, finish and transport route. A timber case or fixed container tonnage is not assumed.
  • Confirm labels, quantities, bundling/pallet method, lifting points and destination requirements in the order.
